Do with certainty;
Try, and you admit defeat,
Failure is assured

Wavering spirits;
The struggle is unending,
No option to fail.

Flecks of blue break through
A mantle of grey above;
Respite from the rain

Believe the mind’s eye:
Un-enfolding creation
Awaits it’s purpose

Steadily tiring,
Through exertions of the mind.
Much remains to learn

The North Wind blows hard,
Sweeping off all before it:
A fresh start awaits.

Wind blows through the trees,
Wet leaves shuffle under foot 
And stick to my shoes.

You bring joy and love:
What would I be without you
Faithful furry friends?

New habits are born 
Through patience and persistence,
A quiet reward.

In spite of efforts
Some sayings really are true:
“Old habits die hard”.

With mindful intent
Be watchful for all your signs, 
The great gift of life.

When progress is slow,
Remember to feel grateful,
The key to success

Disappointment reigns
When you let down a loved one.
Feel the shame and learn.

As the New Year dawns,
May the trials of the last one
Remain in the past.

Through hardship and trials
The heart of the traveller 
Attains perfection
