It’s been a challenge
End the week on a high note
Then you can unwind

New skills need practice
Keep affirming the changes
Turn them to habit

Know when to step back
Allow time to recover
The body needs time

Add to the challenge
Keep updating the routine
Stretch your boundaries

Back to work again
Ready to start the new year
Plenty to be done

Repaired and rested
Cobwebs have all been cleared out
Batteries recharged

Atomic habits
Small consistent daily change
Like compound interest

Beneath the surface
Turbulent chaos recedes
Calmness is restored

Just like any skill
Be mindful of mindfulness
Lest it fizzle out

The tides ebb and flow
As one cycle comes to end
Another begins

Procrastination
It can become a habit
If you allow it

Commit to progress
Do not get in your own way
To each challenge: “Yes”
