A carpet of frost
As far as the eye can see:
A white overcoat.

The passage of time
Like an ever-flowing stream
Beats out its rhythm

Don’t fear the hard task.
The obstacle is the way,
To be overcome.

The challenge is set.
Persistence will win the day
If will is sustained.

Fear and doubt creep in.
Would that the mind could stay strong
To face them head on.

Wind and rain have come
To wash away ice and snow;
Grey replaces white.

Christmas tree goes up,
The house bright with festive cheer,
As too are our hearts.

A demanding week;
But ordeals all pass away
Like the melting snows.

A dream can come true
With patient expectation
And a grateful heart

When help seems distant,
The endless road is shortened 
By a cheery wag.

The highest mountain
Becomes the smallest molehill
Through power of will.

I think of my wife
And long for her returning,
Health in full restored.
