The Year In Haiku

Welcome to The Year In Haiku, my project to keep a journal of the year in the form of a Haiku to encapsulate the lessons learned each day.

Initially inspired by Ryan Holiday’s Daily Stoic videos on YouTube ( see my ‘Thirty Days of Journaling’ post), I decided to try journaling for 30 days, but with a twist; after contemplating the events of the day I wanted in addition to write a haiku that reflected a key highlight. And so it began…

When two months had passed I still had the bug; the daily challenge turned out to be really fun in the end, and it felt appropriate to continue. I decided to see if I could make it last the year.

I have published my efforts here, in the hope that readers might find one or two verses that resonate with them.
