Soak up the fresh air
Ease the mind with nature’s balm 
Repeat as required

Where the veil is its thinnest

Monster and mentor
Guardian of the gateway
Birthplace of your light

Blocked by a shadow
Like the ghost of our past lives
It has to be faced

Waiting to step through
The dweller on the threshold
Karma to be faced

Always in cycles
Nothing remains as it was
Constant back and forth

One mile at a time
The road ahead will be long
