Inevitably
When the student is ready
The teacher appears

As if by design
The pieces slot into place
Almost like they knew

No point in waiting 
Be the change you want to see
It must start with you

Don’t leave things undone
Go back and fill in the gaps
Make it a habit

Nowhere, or ‘now here’?
You alone get to decide:
Reframe your thinking

Trust in your knowledge
Know that your opinion counts
Speak up without fear

Horizon darkens
Long shadows of past regrets
Threaten fresh rainstorms

Empty out your mind
Without passion or judgement
Watch and note your thoughts

New experience
Don’t be afraid of failure
Savour the unknown

No conscious thinking
Out of the silence within
Fresh insights stream forth

Two ears and one mouth
Speak less, listen twice as much
Give others their say

Pause and count to ten
Resist the urge to react
Pause while you reflect

Too much for just one
It may seem impossible
Rise to the challenge
