With mindful intent
Be watchful for all your signs, 
The great gift of life.

When progress is slow,
Remember to feel grateful,
The key to success

Disappointment reigns
When you let down a loved one.
Feel the shame and learn.

As the New Year dawns,
May the trials of the last one
Remain in the past.

Through hardship and trials
The heart of the traveller 
Attains perfection 

Gentle pad of paws.
Sunlight glistens through a hedge,
Shining on soft fur.

After the solstice
Daylight steadily returns
To cheer wintry hearts.

A time to study;
The mind, craving enrichment
Seeks out new learning

Ask this of yourself
In quiet contemplation:
How am I growing?

Full heart, full belly.
A day filled with gratitude 
For seasonal gifts.

May love and kindness
Reign supreme this Christmas time.
