A losing battle

Caught in distraction
The grass is always greener
Pause and let it pass

Rein in impatience
Everything at its right time
Some things have to wait

Blocks in the pathway:
See them as signs to divert
Find another route

Present and aware
An open mind and kind heart
That will be enough

Unexpected gifts
All the sweeter for surprise
