How did that happen?

Don’t get too settled
All may not be as it seems
Look out for the signs

‘Spare’ time is not spare
Seek personal enrichment
A path way to growth

From troubles unseen 
Do not spend a life hiding
Meet them face to face

Find your inner peace
Accept what you cannot change
What will be, will be

Know that each step counts
However small it may seem
Breathe and keep moving

One step at a time
Not looking too far ahead
Focus on the’now’

In mind and spirit
Prepare for adversity
It must surely come

Unashamedly
Wearing your heart on your sleeve
Sharing the real you

Without ritual
Encoded in the stillness
Heat the soft whisper

Profound clarity
Seeming to come from nowhere
A flash of insight

Ask the right question
Not:  “Why is this happening?”
“What is this teaching?”

Ride the ups and downs
An endless rollercoaster
Hang on while you can

Silence the profane
Bring order to the chaos
Begin the journey

A neglected mind
Like an untended garden
Brings forth only weeds
